Softscaping

We always want to make sure your plants thrive in their new environment, so every garden bed we install includes 10 inches of enriched bedding soil, while sod installations include three to four inches of topsoil. We carefully curate your plant selections based on the amount of sunlight in your space and your lifestyle needs. Our plants are purchased from Green Life Nursery, and our sod is purchased from Manderley, so you can trust that you’ll receive high-quality products when you work with us.

Our Interlock Process

We follow a meticulous approach to our interlock installations that guarantees your project will start with a strong foundation. Every layer serves a purpose, and every detail matters when it comes to building with long-term performance in mind.

Excavation & Subgrade Preparation

We properly excavate existing and unsuitable materials to establish the appropriate depth for your project, and carefully prepare the subgrade for proper elevations and drainage.

Clear Stone Base & Reinforced Foundation

We include a 3/4” clear stone base in our construction to help ensure your installation has proper drainage. Where required, we also incorporate geogrid into the base system to provide additional structural reinforcement.

Premium Bedding Stone

A layer of premium bedding stone is added over the base to create a consistent and stable setting surface for the pavers. We ensure the appropriate slope and drainage characteristics are maintained during the grading process.

Precision Paver Installation

Our experienced team installs your selected pavers with careful attention to pattern alignment, spacing, elevations, cuts, borders, and transitions.

Permanent Edge Restraint

A PSI-rated concrete edge restraint is installed around the perimeter to help prevent shifting, spreading, and separation over time.

Final Compaction & Finishing

The completed surface is carefully compacted and the joints are finished to create a tight, stable surface. We then inspect the installation to ensure the lines, elevations, edges, transitions, and overall appearance meet our standards.

Do I need to get a permit for my upcoming landscaping project?

When you work with Beauland Hardscape, we will ensure all the locates are marked on your property and all required permits are acquired for your upcoming landscaping project.

Do your landscaping installations include a warranty?

Yes, we offer a limited warranty on work completed through Beauland Hardscape. When a project is completed from start to finish by our team, you will receive a one year warranty on the installation. This means that we have completed every step of the installation process, and are not adding to an existing installation. For example, if you would like us to add steps to an existing deck, or garden edging to a garden that is already established, our warranty does not apply. We also work with high quality suppliers, so oftentimes there is an additional warranty on the materials used through the supplier as well.

How is outdoor lighting installed?

We purchase our outdoor lighting from in-lite, which offers low voltage, easy to install solutions. This means a certified electrician is not required for these types of installations. The cords for the lighting units can be strategically hidden above ground, buried under your patio brick or buried under your garden edging stone. We will work with you to determine the best installation option for your outdoor lighting.

What do I need to do to maintain my newly installed sod?

We purchase our sod from Manderley, which provides a detailed breakdown on how to maintain your new sod after installation. We will provide this information to you when you opt for this softscaping service so you will know exactly when to water and cut your grass for the first time after installation.
